Enrollment for 1st grade in primary schools and for 6-9 year-old children in after-school programs for the 2024-2025 school year is now open.
The enrollment takes place on My Pages of Reykjavík City, and an electronic ID is required to enroll.
All children starting primary school and after-school programs next autumn should have received a book about the start at their homes. It can also be accessed on Reykjavík City's website.
Due to enrollment in after-school programs, the staff of the Department of Education & Youth would like to note that if there will be a waiting list due to a lack of staff, children are not admitted based on when applications are received but by grade, with 1st graders being admitted first, followed by 2nd graders, and so on.
