Maps for public use
The Geospatial Information team at the Department of Environment & Planning has extensive experience in creating various maps, all of which are based on the Reykjavik Geospatial Information system (LUKR). As outlined below, various maps are published in conjunction with live online information, and we especially highlight the City Web Viewer.
- The street map of the Department of Environment & Planning (PDF 11.1 MB) covers the entire capital area. Prepared in June 2023. Will not be updated further in this format.
- Walking and biking paths. A website with a map of paths in Reykjavík.
- The transportation website also features a map of cycling routes.
- Location map of Reykjavík (PDF 3.2 MB).
- Base map of the Department of Environment & Planning. Now showing the status of LUKR data as of December 1, 2016, which is updated annually. The base map can also be viewed here with an aerial imagery base.
- Administrative division of Reykjavík (PDF 0.7 MB). According to the approval of the City Executive Council on June 16, 2003, Reykjavík is divided into ten districts, each with its own local district council.

- A website with maps of streets and walking paths in Reykjavík categorized by snow removal and de-icing service areas.
- Protection of cobblestones in Reykjavík (PDF 2.1 MB). Cobblestones are old, hewn curbstones.
