Status report:

An application was submitted to the Project Council of the Department of Service & Innovation for collaboration on creating a prediction model. The application was approved, and the data service of the Department of Service & Innovation, along with the Finance Office of the Department of Welfare, has been working on the project. It was decided to start work on predictions in three service areas: (1) support and standby services, (2) home support (previously social home care), and (3) special housing aid. An employee at the Finance Office of the Department of Welfare did the groundwork for the project in the first part of 2022. The task has now moved to the Data Service of the Department of Service & Innovation, where specialists will complete the prediction model.

In June 2022, the Department of Welfare got approval from the Project Council of the Department of Service & Innovation to transfer all statistics to the data warehouse. Once the data is in the warehouse, dashboards will be created that display the Department of Welfare's statistics in an interactive and, when possible, real-time manner. The project is in its early stages, and a detailed time-line is not yet available. At the same time, a decision has been made to work on a pilot project for internal dashboards to test functionality and better identify the data needs of staff and managers.
