Are You Normal?

"Are You Normal?" gives young people a platform to examine societal norms—what is considered acceptable and what is not—and express their perspectives through video or photography.

We encourage school staff to participate, giving young people room to let their creativity flourish.

About the project

Photo exhibit of young people's work

This initiative challenges young people to think critically about society while expressing themselves artistically through photography or video. Participants receive a package featuring educational videos, teaching guides, and hands-on assignments. Each workplace has the flexibility to implement the project independently, working closely with a Gender Equality Academy coordinator. The project is modelled after a Swedish template where it's called Normstorm. The program culminates in an exhibit of the students' work at the Children's Culture Festival.
