Dietary Supplements & Premixed Foods
Dietary supplements are defined as food according to Act No. 93/1995 on Foodstuffs, with later amendments, and Regulation No. 624/2004 on Dietary Supplements, with later amendments.
Fortification is when extra nutrients and ingredients are added to food during production. Fortification may include vitamins, minerals, trace elements, amino acids, essential fatty acids, fiber, and various plant extracts. Specific rules apply to fortifying food with vitamins, minerals, and certain other substances.
