The Education Policy Summit is a celebration of innovative work in Reykjavík City's school and recreational activities related to the Education Policy implementation. The Summit aims to showcase diverse development and innovation efforts linked to the Education Policy and foster dialogue about future education.

The Reykjavík Education Policy

The main objective of the Reykjavík Education Policy is for all children to grow, develop and feel happy in a democratic society that is based on human rights and respect for the diversity of human life.

Two guiding principles lead the way: "the child as an active participant" and "professionalism and collaboration at the forefront." The policy's five fundamental elements are social skills, self-empowerment, literacy, creativity, and health.
