About the Digital Service Unit
Digital Service Unit:
- handles initial inquiries and service requests from residents in need of welfare service.
- Division staff process the majority of applications and requests submitted digitally, routing those that require in-person attention to the appropriate center in the resident's neighborhood.
- Collaborates with the Department of Welfare and the Department of Service and Innovation to improve welfare services. In improvement efforts, particular focus is placed on digital solutions to meet residents' needs and increase quality and efficiency.
Helgi Þór Gunnarsson serves as executive director.
