About Allegro Suzuki School of Music

Allegro Suzuki Music School serves preschool and primary school children using Shinichi Suzuki's mother-tongue method. Parents actively participate in their children's learning, attending lessons and practicing at home.

Violin, piano and viola are taught. Instruction takes place in weekly private lessons and biweekly group lessons. It's best for children to start young, ages three to five. They first learn by ear, with music reading, theory and ensemble playing added later.

The school is small, aiming to create a homely atmosphere and attend well to each individual while maintaining high standards. Emphasis is placed on beautiful tone production and effortless technique. Our foundation has proven successful, with many former Allegro students active in Iceland's music scene.

The key to good results with the Suzuki method is frequent listening to the curriculum, regular practice and review, along with a positive and encouraging environment! Our motto is "discipline - achievement - enjoyment"
