Survey among disabled people in residential centers and group homes

A survey was conducted among disabled people in apartment complexes and group homes, questioning independent living and the use of technology in daily life. Individual interviews were conducted, utilizing various types of questionnaires to accommodate different communication methods.

The survey was conducted during May-November 2021.

Quality standards

The Quality and Supervision Authority for Welfare Affairs has issued quality standards for services to disabled people, which were used to develop the survey. Questions concerned:

  • Life/community without discrimination
  • Independent home management
  • Recreation and culture
  • Understanding between staff and residents
  • Rights advocacy for disabled people
  • Utilization and access to information technology

A similar survey was conducted among staff, aiming to gain their perspective on the residents' independent life and technology use. The survey was conducted online.
