Checklist of confirmation documents

Below is a checklist of documents you might need to submit and from whom you can retrieve them. Not all documents are required for every inspection, only those that apply.

Construction manager

  1. Confirmation from the construction manager that all mandatory inspections are recorded in HMS's construction portal.
  2. The house manual according to HMS's Guidelines No. 16.1.1.
  3. A statement from the person who installed the waterproof systems of tiled bathtubs and shower enclosures and a work description for the waterproof system.

Fire safety

  1. Memorandum from fire safety designer approved by the fire department.
  2. Statement on a complete and tested fire alarm system
  3. Documents for the operator's self-inspection as required by Regulation No 200/1994 and guidelines on the fire department's website.
  4. Most recent inspection report of the fire alarm system. The report must be less than one year old. If it is not, a new inspection and report are required.
  5. Service contract for the inspection and maintenance of the fire alarm system.
  6. Service contract for the connection and monitoring of the fire alarm system.
  7. Statement on a complete sprinkler system in the kitchen hood
  8. Service contract for the inspection and maintenance of the kitchen hood sprinkler system.
  9. Inspection report on the kitchen hood sprinkler system.
  10. Confirmation that the elevator doors meet fire safety requirements.
  11. Confirmation of the installation, testing, and activity of fire curtains.
  12. Service contract for the inspection and maintenance of fire curtains.
  13. Confirmation that the fire curtain meets design requirements.
  14. Confirmation from those who performed fire sealings.
  15. Operating permit of those who performed fire sealings.

Ventilation

  1. Statement on the setting and testing of the interoperability of equipment and the measurement of air quantity and distribution
  2. Adjustment reports for the ventilation system.

Piping system

  1. Service contract for the inspection and maintenance of the water sprinkler system.
  2. Inspection report of the water sprinkler system (acceptance test).
  3. Statement on a complete water sprinkler system
  4. Statement that the water sprinkler system has been notified to the fire department.
  5. Statement on the setting of the heating system and activity of control devices for safety or final inspection
  6. Statement on the testing of gas pipelines
  7. Statement on pressure testing and inspection of riser pipes, HMS 9.8.5 guidelines.
  8. Statement that hot tap water in sinks and showers will never be hotter than specified in Article 14.5.10 of Building Regulation 112/2012. Temperature in main pipelines should be 65°C, and mixing to 38°C or 43°C should occur at the tap as applicable.

Electrical installations

  1. Statement on the completion of electrical installations for safety or final inspection
  2. Statement on the testing and activity of emergency lighting and exit signs, HMS 9.4.12 guidelines
  3. Statement on the testing and activity of sliding doors on escape routes and service contract for inspection and maintenance.
  4. Statement on the testing and activity of smoke extraction and service contract.

Elevators

  1. Statement from The Administration of Occupational Safety and Health on the final inspection of the elevator.
  2. Service contract for the inspection and maintenance of the elevator.

Operator

  1. Response plan / training plan for operators.
