Curfew for minors

The curfew for children and teenagers is established under the Child Protection Act and sets the hours children are allowed to be out. Parents can of course set their own rules within the curfew regulations.

Curfew

Curfew during winter months (Sept. 1 to May 1)

  • Children 12 years old and younger may stay out until 8pm at the latest.
  • Children 13 to 16 years old may stay out until 10pm at the latest.

Curfew during summer months (May 1 to Sept. 1)

  • Children 12 years old and younger may stay out until 10pm at the latest.
  • Children 13 to 16 years old may stay out until midnight at the latest.
