Fossvogur, Kringlumýrarbraut, and Suðurhlíð

Stakeholder Presentation

Official statement from the Planning Officer added August 3, 2023.

The Planning Officer's office meeting on August 11, 2022 presented a proposal for a development permit. The permit is for building bus stops in Fossvogur and moving and extending the exit lane from Kringlumýrarbraut to Suðurhlíð. Construct paths to bus stops, create a path crossing on Suðurhlíð, and narrow the southernmost part of Suðurhlíð. Adjust the sound barrier due to the relocation of the exit lane, adapt slopes, and complete landscaping for drainage of paths and streets. A drawing set from Hnit Engineering dated June 2022 and a tender description from Hnit Engineering dated April 2022 are also submitted.

According to the second paragraph of Article 44 of Act No. 123/2010, stakeholders can comment on the proposal:

Property owners at Suðurhlíð 35, 36 and 38A-38D, Lautarvegur 14, 16 and 18, and Fossvogsblettur 1.

Tenants of properties on the above-mentioned lots are also considered stakeholders. Property owners should inform tenants about the proposal.
