Information about the finances of the City of Reykjavík, which are divided into the Municipal Fund, the Real Estate Fund, and the Reykjavík Parking Service.
The Municipal Fund covers the City's regular activities that primarily relate to statutory projects and are partly or wholly financed from tax revenues.
The Real Estate Fund manages the City's assets and finances all construction projects on its behalf. Its operation is based on income from the internal lease of real estate, streets, and equipment, the sale of building rights, the collection of road construction fees, income under service contracts, and the external lease of real estate and land.
Reykjavík Parking Service operates seven parking garages in the center of Reykjavík and also supervises truck stations. The main income of RPS is the rental of parking spaces and income from parking fees.
The underlying data file for the City’s financial data is published on island.is.
