Thank you for coming to the Children's Culture festival 2023
The festival took place all over the city and went very well, but it is expected that well over 15,000 people attended the 400 events that were offered during the festival.
The headline of the festival this year was peace, and children worked on various projects related to peace, both inner peace and world peace.
Large and small exhibitions and events were offered for children and with children. Children displayed their works at prominent cultural institutions and largely took over the cultural life of the city during the six days of the festival.
This year, there was a special focus on events in Grafarvogur, where the Adventure Hall played a central role at the city library in Spöngin. People of all ages gathered and participated in a program with dance, song, and joy.
A multitude of people tirelessly worked on the preparation and organization of the Children's Culture Festival, including staff from Reykjavik City, kindergartens, elementary schools, leisure centres, cultural institutions, and individuals. The festival would not have been as magnificent if it weren't for their contributions. Thank you for your efforts.
Thank you for joining us, see you next year!
