The Environment & Planning Council of Reykjavík City approved canceling parking fees on Aragata, Oddagata and Sæmundargata this week. This will remain in effect until the University of Iceland starts charging for nearby areas. Parking fees are not considered necessary on these streets until then.
Current parking fees remain in effect until the new approval is published in the Official Journal and payment machines are removed.
