From today's city council meeting.

Today, Dagur was elected chairman of the city council and takes over that role from Einar, but these changes in the management of the city are according to the agreement of the majority of the Samfylking Party, Progressive Party, Pirate Party and Viðreisn Party in the city council.

Árelía Eydís Guðmundsdóttir, city representative of the Progressive Party, was today elected to the city council and succeeds Heiða Björga Hilmisdóttir, city representative of the Confederation. It was then voted for deputy representatives in the city council, which are now Heiða Björg and Magnea Gná Jóhannsdóttir, city representative of the Progressive Party, instead of Skúli Helgason, the Samfylking Party and Árelía Eydís.
