Reykjavík City Centre Fund 2020

The City Centre Fund aims to collaborate with NGOs, companies and individuals that encourage diversity, initiative, innovation and research, as in line with the City of Reykjavík's policy on city centre affairs.

The City Centre Fund will support projects, events and other happenings that aim to invigorate the city centre, underline its diversity and encourage residents and visitors to explore the city centre and enjoy all it has to offer.

In 2020, special emphasis will be placed on trade and services, music and other cultural events and projects, as well as general promotion of the city centre.  Projects on research, development and innovation that aim to strengthen the city centre will also be taken into consideration.  All proposals must meet official requirements of Icelandic health authorities regarding restrictions on mass gatherings that are in force at any given time.

Constructions on housing, both indoor or outdoors, will not be funded, nor promotions of individual operations.

Applications are to be submitted on the City of Reykjavík’s website, before midnight on 18 October.
