The preparation for the Christmas season is now beginning, and applications for the Christmas City Event Fund are open.

Those planning to host events in December can apply for support from the fund up to a maximum of 400 thousand kr.

The goal of the project is to enhance daily life and support businesses; shops, restaurants, and other services in the area. The events energize the city center for residents and guests, enhancing enjoyment during advent.

Main conditions for receiving funding:

  • The project must take place in the city center
  • The project should enrich the city life and highlight the diversity of the city center
  • The project must take place from December 1–23.
  • It should be enjoyable for many, cater to all ages, and free of charge for participants

No funds will be provided for various Christmas markets or marketing of individual businesses.

The application deadline is until November 15, 2023.
