Fifth meeting with Climate City Contract participants
Participants in Reykjavík City's Climate City Contract gathered this week at Borgartún. This marked the fifth meeting with participants since the annual general meeting in October. The meeting focused on energy transition and F-gases, along with Reykjavík Energy's efforts under the contract.

- Snorri Jökull Egilsson presented an overview of Reykjavík Energy's actions, covering both challenges and outcomes.
- Discussion on actions. The Sustainability Institute leads the discussion in partnership with Reykjavík City.
Earlier thematic meetings addressed tourism, transportation, waste management, and innovation — all of which drew strong attendance and generated valuable insights. Climate City Contract participants benefit from tracking the latest developments in their sectors and building networks that support their climate action efforts.
Hrönn Hrafnsdóttir, head of the climate change issues division at Reykjavík City, opened the meeting and noted that this was the first discussion dedicated to developing and shaping actions for the second edition of Reykjavík's Climate City Contract. Hafdís Hanna Ægisdóttir, director of the Sustainability Institute at the University of Iceland, chaired the meeting.
