A land-use plan amendment for CityLine and additional development at Reykjavík University is now open for public comment. The goal is to integrate CityLine infrastructure into public spaces while maintaining the best possible harmony with the surrounding environment.

The CityLine land-use plan in Reykjavík is divided into several sections as the route passes through diverse areas, neighborhoods and planning zones. The first phase of CityLine in Reykjavík runs from Ártún to Fossvogsbrú. Several land-use plans that include CityLine have already been approved.
The complete picture is presented in the framework section of Reykjavík's municipal plan, and overall impacts have been reviewed in an environmental assessment.
