Street clearing in Reykjavík remains on schedule west of the Elliðaár rivers.
Crews are running behind in northern Grafarvogur and Úlfarsárdalur because they focused snowplowing equipment on keeping bus routes open in those areas. Strong northerly winds blew today, but once they ease, crews can focus on clearing residential streets in these neighborhoods.
Crews are operating 21 pieces of equipment on city streets today. Crews are also salting and sanding in the city center. Residents can also pick up salt and sand at Reykjavík City district depots during opening hours at the municipal land service center in Stórhöfði. We also have bins with salt and sand accessible outside the district depots at Fiskislóð and Jafnasel.
