Survey maps
Survey maps show the location and size of properties and the current boundaries of estates and jurisdictional areas. Survey maps must show building lots and any restrictions that apply to the area, such as those related to approved structures or utility systems. Survey maps are typically drawn at a 1:500 scale.
Elevation maps
Elevation maps provide elevation information at property boundaries. This includes elevations at the boundaries between municipal land and private properties, as well as elevations between neighboring properties. Elevation maps also show the location and elevation of drainage connections and the location of cold water and hot water connections. In addition, they show the location of electrical and telephone connections.
