Welcome to our swimming pools – Guidelines for swimmers

We warmly welcome you to the swimming pools!
Before you enjoy your time in the pools, we ask that you please follow a few important steps. Cleanliness is very important in Icelandic swimming pools to ensure a clean and pleasant environment for everyone and to limit the use of chlorine in the water.

Step 1 ---------------->

Bring your own towel and swimwear. You can also rent towels and swimwear at the front desk. If you plan to use the sauna, it's a good idea to bring an extra towel to sit on. Most people go to the pool barefoot, but you're welcome to wear appropriate footwear like flip-flops. Swim caps are not required.

Step 2 ---------------->

You buy a ticket at the front desk. View swimming pool fees.

Step 3 ---------------->

You must remove your shoes before entering the changing rooms. You can store them in the shelves up front or bring them with you and store them in a locked locker in the changing room. The swimming pool is not responsible for lost items.

Step 4 ---------------->

We have secure lockers available for you to use. Put your valuables and clothes in a locker (but keep your towel, swimwear and shower items with you).

Step 5 ---------------->

It's best to store your towel in the towel rack near the showers.

Step 6 ---------------->

You are required to shower naked and wash thoroughly with soap (we provide soap). After showering, put on your swimwear.

Step 7 ---------------->

Go swimming, enjoy yourself and thank you for respecting Icelandic swimming customs!
