Eva Bergþóra has been Executive Director of Communications, Marketing and Major Events for the City of Reykjavik since 2021. She has a diverse background in Icelandic media and directing communications and community engagement in higher education in the United States. Eva Bergþóra holds a B.A. in English and Political Science from the University of Iceland and an MA in International Politics and MPA from Middlebury Institute of International Studies.

Executive Director of Communications, Marketing and Major Events

The Executive Director of Communications, Marketing and Major Events is responsible for policy making in communications, public relations and marketing initiatives across all services and departments in the City of Reykjavik. The Executive Director also oversees major event management and is a member of the Executive Council of the City of Reykjavik.
