Hi! The English site is only a beta for now and still has many errors (especially in names and locations).
We are working hard to fix them and making more content available than ever before so expect constant updates.
A single payment slip is sent for each month of summer recreation. A 20% sibling discount is given (without the need to apply for it) for siblings who have the same legal address and related domicile with Registers Iceland and who are in summer recreation with the Department of Education and Youth during the same month.
Please note that if you need to cancel participation in a course, you must let the relevant recreation center know in writing at least one week before the start of the course/workshop (e.g. before midnight on Sunday when the course/workshop starts on Monday a week later). In other cases, the course fee will be charged in full.
The fee for summer recreation is charged afterwards. The due date is the first day of the following month. The final due date is 30 days after the due date. Late-payment interest and overdue fees are added if the fee has not been paid on the final due date. If the amount has not been paid within 50 days of the due date, the bill is sent for collection using the debt collection agency Momentum. Recreation Cards cannot be used to subsidize summer activities.
