Accessibility issues

Access for all: Access for all means disabled people are not discriminated against in accessing and using buildings. They can safely enter and exit buildings, even in unusual situations like fires.

Universal design: Universal design creates products, environments, plans and services usable by all people, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaptation or specialized design. It does not exclude assistive devices for disabled people when needed. (Housing and Construction Authority (HMS)).

Digital accessibility: Websites and digital services, access to information and its presentation are designed so disabled people can access and use them.

Ableism: Deep-seated societal assumptions about "normal" physical and mental capabilities create barriers that question disabled people's right to participate in certain spaces. This impacts disabled people's access and opportunities, especially in employment settings.
