Vesturbæjarlaug reopens after maintenance closure
Following a maintenance closure that began June 23, Vesturbæjarlaug will reopen at 3 p.m. today, Friday, July 3rd
The maintenance work went smoothly. We delayed the reopening by a few days, however, to ensure the paint in the children’s pool dried completely before we filled the pool with water.
All facilities are open, but the main pool will not reach full temperature until tomorrow
We began filling the main pool yesterday afternoon. Although the pool is now full, heating the water takes time, so the main pool will be around 12°C at today’s opening. We expect it to reach its normal temperature tomorrow, Saturday, July 4.
The children’s pool has reached its normal temperature and will be ready for guests at opening.
We have also completed work on the cold tub, even though we originally expected it to take several more days. When the swimming pool opens today, guests will have access to the children’s pool, hot tubs, cold tub, steam room, and sauna. The main pool will also open, though not yet at its proper temperature.
We thank our guests for their understanding and patience throughout the maintenance work and look forward to welcoming them back.
