Reykjavík City Neighborhood Fund 2026 – ready to apply?
The Reykjavík City Neighborhood Fund opens for applications on Sunday, March 15, and the deadline to apply is April 15.
The District Fund aims to strengthen community bonds, solidarity and cooperation among residents, enhance neighborhood beautification, improve safety and enrich daily life in various ways based on residents' needs.
The fund supports individuals and groups who want to contribute to their community through neighborhood-related projects and/or events. Priority is given to projects that benefit the widest range of neighborhood residents, encourage participation from diverse groups in community activities, or focus on beautification and development of areas used by a significant portion of residents.
When considering applications, the District Fund allocation rules, the Reykjavík City Rules on Grants, and Reykjavík City Human Rights Policy are taken into account. Please note that funding is not available for events or projects that have already taken place.
