New food and beverage fee schedule
A new food and beverage fee schedule takes effect Sept. 1 for Reykjavík City.
Individuals receiving food services through Reykjavík City can apply for a fee reduction based on income.
To qualify for a fee reduction, you must:
- Be a legal resident in Reykjavík
- Be over 18 years of age
- Live independently
- Be assessed in need of home-delivered food under the Rules on Support Services
- Have income within the Social Insurance Administration's cost-of-living index
The maximum income thresholds for an exemption are:
486,076 kr. per month (if you live alone)
416,950 kr. (if you live with others).
An application for a fee reduction will be available on My Pages starting Sept. 1.
