Agreement signed with Víkingur
Reykjavík City and the football club Víkingur signed an agreement today transferring ownership of Víkingur's sports facilities to Reykjavík City, along with a timeline for the development of the club's activity area.
Mayor Heiða Björg Hilmisdóttir and Björn Einarsson, chair of Víkingur, signed the agreement at the Víkingur Clubhouse.
The agreement outlines a long-term vision for Víkingur's facilities in Stjörnugróf and Safamýri. Ownership of Víkingur's existing sports facilities at Traðarland 1 will transfer to Reykjavík City, which will assume responsibility for their maintenance and ongoing development.
