What are residents' habits and barriers regarding waste sorting and transportation?
Climate change
Reykjavík City and the University of Iceland invite residents to participate in a survey examining transportation and waste sorting habits in the capital area.
This research is part of an international grant project called Pilot Cities: Threading through the narrows. The project aims to reduce emissions from road transportation and waste throughout the city.
Research objectives
The study examines how habits and barriers affect travel behavior and waste sorting practices. Results will help develop and test initiatives that support new habits while meeting residents' needs.
How can I participate?
Capital area residents are encouraged to complete the survey, which opens Feb. 10. By participating, you can help shape the city's future environmental initiatives.
Participants will be entered into a drawing for two gift cards worth 25,000 kr. each.
Data protection and additional information
All data collection complies with the Data Protection Act and the policies of both Reykjavík City and the University of Iceland.
The survey is available in Icelandic, English, and Polish:
