My Pages – a powerful service portal for residents
My Pages grew stronger as one of the City's main digital service portals, with the goal of simplifying life for people and businesses through access to services and an overview of their own cases.
International recognition for excellent services
The Better City for Children project, which aims to improve services for children who need additional support in school, won the gold award at the Seoul Smart City Prize. This is significant recognition of how Reykjavík City uses digital solutions and civic design to meet the needs of children and their families.
Collaboration and policy making
The Department of Service & Innovation actively participated in collaboration with the state and municipalities on digital transformation of public services through the Midsummer Committee (Jónsmessunefnd). The Digital Council, made up of elected City Council representatives, managed the progress of digital reforms and promoted increased transparency and efficiency in the City's administration.
Human resources and work environment
The Department of Service & Innovation received recognition as an excellent workplace from Great Place to Work and ranked second among large workplaces that are especially good for women. New policies on staff attendance and health were introduced, emphasizing wellbeing and a positive work environment.
