Large turnout at Grafarvogur meeting

The informational meeting about residential development in Grafarvogur held at Borgar yesterday evening drew a large crowd. Draft proposals for a master plan amendment that explores additional development opportunities in Grafarvogur were presented. Draft proposals for specific development sites were also presented.

The proposal has been modified since its last presentation, with the number of homes reduced from 476 to 340. The proposals still need to be developed to the detailed planning stage.

After the presentations, attendees had the opportunity to learn more about specific areas at several displays in the hall, where they could discuss the proposals with architects. Some attendees took advantage of this opportunity.

The master plan amendment proposal is available on skipulagsgatt.is, and residents are encouraged to review it and submit suggestions. Comments can be submitted through April 10.
