Fostering robust innovation
The City has finalized a new agreement ensuring ongoing financial and professional support for innovation efforts led by KLAK-Icelandic Startups, which runs the entrepreneurship competition The Golden Egg and the business accelerator Hringiða, an initiative that supports the development of new ideas, technology, and solutions targeting urgent environmental and climate challenges.
Mayor Heiða Björg Hilmisdóttir and Ásta Sóllilja Guðmundsdóttir, CEO of KLAK-Icelandic Startups, signed the agreement yesterday, and the City Executive Council has approved it.
New solutions for the City
The agreement aims to boost entrepreneurship and enable Reykjavík City to help shape the direction of innovation initiatives, with a particular focus on encouraging new solutions to the challenges the city faces.
