There was great excitement at Fossvogsskóli today when the band Inspector Spacetime debuted the song Hlaupasting for students in the school auditorium.

The Children's Culture Festival 2025 song has been released, composed by the fun-loving members of the band Inspector Spacetime

This year's Children's Culture Festival theme is "outdoor play," and fourth-grade students across the city were asked to answer various questions about what the phrase "outdoor play" means to them.

The Inspector Spacetime band members Egill Gauti Sigurjónsson, Elías Geir Óskarsson and Vaka Agnarsdóttir got the text from the children and created lyrics for the song Hlaupasting. They said collaborating with the children was very fun and rewarding.

Part of Fossvogsskóli's school choir also performed and sang the song Farfuglar, and it's worth noting that the choir is the largest primary school choir in Reykjavík.

Inspector Spacetime will then debut the song specially for a full auditorium of 4th graders in Harpa's Eldborg concert hall at the opening of the Children's Culture Festival on April 8. The festival runs through April 13 and will offer a diverse program all days with free admission to all events.
