The mayor's housing meeting will take place at Reykjavík City Hall on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 9-11am. All those leading apartment development and professionals in the construction sector are encouraged to attend. Doors open at 8:30am with refreshments provided.

The mayor will provide an overview of the city's housing development strategy, as rapid housing development and secure homes are key priorities for the new governing coalition in the city. An overview will be provided of current construction projects and what's in the pipeline.

Presentations at the meeting will highlight priorities for creating a fair housing market, including the involvement of nonprofit housing associations and community-centered developments. Work on the new urban design policy will be presented.
