Activity Expo - greater activity and improved health
An Activity Expo for older adults will be held in Tjarnarsalur at Reykjavík City Hall on Friday, Sept. 19.
European Week of Sport
Sept. 23-30 marks the European Week of Sport or "#BeActive," an international campaign promoting physical activity and better health. The Activity Expo is therefore perfectly timed to encourage social activity among older adults in Reykjavík and improve their quality of life.

The Activity Expo will feature engaging presentations and showcase the wide range of health and wellness services and recreational opportunities available to older adults in Reykjavík. Brochure about the culture, sports, and outdoor activities offerings.
The Activity Expo runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pride dance
Dance instructor Auður Harpa will lead a joyful dance session.
Dog visit volunteers
Dog visit volunteers meet at City Hall. The program, run by the Red Cross, sends volunteers and their dogs to visit people in their homes, nursing homes, and other locations by request. The primary role of these volunteers is to offer companionship and comfort.
Recreation and activities for older adults in Reykjavík
Organizations presenting diverse winter programs include: Community centers, youth centers, sports clubs, libraries, swimming pools, primary care and other organizations.
Attendees will have the chance to try out passenger bikes on-site.
