On June 17, the National Day of Iceland, family entertainment will be held throughout the city. There will be a parade from Hallgrímskirkja, concerts, street theatre, dance party, circus, food trucks and vintage car shows in Hljómskálagarður and Klambratún to name a few.

Morning ceremony at Austurvöllur

A ceremony organized by Alþingi and the Prime Minister's Office begins at Austurvelli at 11:10am but it will be televised and broadcast on RÚV.

Parade from Hallgrímskirkja

The National Day parade will start at 1pm from Hallgrímskirkja, going down Skólavörðustígur to the festival area in Hljómskálagarður. A giant mystery troll will join the crowd, and a brass band will play along.

In Hljómskálagarður there will be live music along with an entertainment program for the whole family from 1:30-5pm.

June 17 at Klambratún

At Klambratún, a light and fun atmosphere will be offered for the whole family and the program will start at 1pm. Bouncy castles, Food carts, Dj Fusion Groove, Brynju Pétur's dance and HEMA fencing.
