How do I use RSS content providers?

The CoR's RSS content provider allows users to monitor the display of content in specific content categories of their choice.

In order to view an RSS news or content list, special programs, called RSS Reader, are required. RSS readers are not unmatched by email programs that download the latest content to unsubscribed websites. Some RSS readers need to be downloaded from the Internet and installed on their respective computers while others are online, so they can be used on any computer.

Once an RSS reader is selected, it is used to subscribe to the desired content.

You can both access RSS content on the Reykjavik RSS Content Network and across the web where you can find this button.

How do I subscribe?

To subscribe, only the RSS button must be clicked, and access to the RSS provider will be granted.

In the latest versions of the main browsers (such as Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and others) is a special RSS support that allows the user to subscribe to the news list directly from the browser. In older browsers, the (copy) URL to the RSS provider must be copied and pasted into a reader of your choice.

Where can I find an RSS reader?

There are numerous free RSS readers on the market, but readers must be selected for the operating system used by the computer and must therefore be selected with that in mind.
