How Do I Use RSS Content Providers?
Reykjavík City's RSS feed enables service users to monitor content updates in their preferred categories.
RSS reader
To access RSS news or content feeds, you'll need specialized software called an RSS reader. RSS readers function much like email programs, automatically retrieving the latest content from your subscribed websites. Some RSS readers require downloading and installation on your computer, while others are web-based and accessible from any computer.
After selecting an RSS reader, you can use it to subscribe to your desired content.
RSS content is accessible through both Reykjavík City's RSS feed and various websites where you see the RSS button.
How do I subscribe?
To subscribe, just click the RSS button to access the feed.
Recent versions of major browsers (such as Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox 2.0 etc) include built-in RSS support that allows you to subscribe to news feeds directly from the browser. For older browsers, you'll need to copy the RSS feed URL and paste it into your preferred reader.
Where can I find RSS readers?
Many free RSS readers are available, but you must select one that's compatible with your computer's operating system.
