Office of the Mayor and Chief Executive Officer
The Office of the Mayor and Chief Executive Officer has several core functions: serving the offices of the mayor and Chief Executive Officer, supporting the mayor's priority initiatives, overseeing coordination within the administration, managing projects citywide, and coordinating policy development for Reykjavík City.
Office of the City Council
The Office of the City Council conducts all administration for the City Council, City Executive Council, Presidium, and various other committees. This includes receiving and handling documents, preparing meetings, such as the drafting and distribution of agendas, conducting meetings, including the minute-taking, and providing advice to the Chair and other members. Its duties also include finalizing documentation, announcing decisions on official matters, publishing minutes, and providing information to the public.
City Attorney
The City Attorney represents the City of Reykjavík and its agencies on legal matters. The City Attorney serves as the City’s lawyer and legal representative and draws up contracts on behalf of the City.
