Status of preschool applications in Vala
Parents can now track their child's waitlist status for preschool applications in Vala for the preschools they've applied to. Waitlists move at different speeds depending on the preschool and neighborhood. Some neighborhoods have more preschool openings than others due to age distribution and number of children. As a result, some neighborhoods can offer openings to younger children than others.
Instructions

Log in to Vala

Click the button marked "Samantekt” (Summary)

The button marked “Umsóknir” (Applications) should now be visible on the screen. At the end of the line with the child's name, there's a magnifying glass icon. Click the magnifying glass icon.

You should now see a screen titled "Vistunarumsókn" (Placement application).
Below, you'll find a list of preschools where the child is on the waitlist. Each preschool has a number in parentheses showing the child's position on the waitlist.
