A ferris wheel will be installed for the third straight summer at Miðbakki in Reykjavík, operated by the same party as in previous years. The ferris wheel will be free and open to the public on the National Day of Iceland, June 17, and again on Culture Night, Aug. 22.

The City Executive Council voted at yesterday's meeting to offer Taylors Tivoli Iceland ehf. an extended contract. The city had advertised for a ferris wheel operator on May 24, 2025, and received one application.
