City Hall illuminated in yellow and blue to support Ukraine
Reykjavík City Hall is illuminated in the colors of the Ukrainian flag, yellow and blue, in a show of support for the Ukrainian people.
It has now been four years since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian national flag has been flown at full staff at Reykjavík City Hall since the start of the war to show solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
The Ukrainian city of Lviv and Reykjavík City are sister cities. The partnership aims to strengthen ties between the cities, with a special focus on values such as democracy, freedom, the rule of law, and human rights.
