Building rights in Suðurhólar and Hraunberg
Reykjavík City is accepting purchase offers for building rights on two residential lots in Breiðholt.
Plans for the lot at Suðurhólar 27 include row houses and single-floor units across two to three stories, accommodating up to 40 homes. Suðurhólar will feature high-quality architecture, a green aesthetic, and well-appointed homes thoughtfully integrated into the landscape's natural contours. The adaptable development will allow residents to customize and expand their homes as their needs change. A shared street will wind through the area, preserving most of the site as a green, family-friendly environment.
The second site is the lot at Hraunberg 1, which will feature two housing clusters. One cluster will contain 4–6 homes and the other 12–16, alongside ground-floor space for services, retail, or community use, plus parking.
The allocation and tender documents on Reykjavík City's procurement portal provide complete information on the lots and terms. Submit bids electronically through the procurement portal by noon on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026.
