Artist residency at Kjarvalsstofa in Paris - applications now open

Kjarvalsstofa in Paris

Icelandic artists can now apply for residencies at Kjarvalsstofa in Paris from May 2026 to April 2027.

Kjarvalsstofa is a studio apartment and workspace in central Paris, near Notre Dame Cathedral, managed by Reykjavík City and the Ministry of Culture, Innovation and Higher Education. The 40-square-meter space is part of Cité International des arts, an international artist center that welcomes more than 300 artists from around the world each year.

Applications should specify the residency goals, the proposed project, and whether the work has specific connections to Paris or France through networking or research.

The application deadline is Jan. 31, 2026, via Reykjavík City's My Pages portal.
