Agreement signed with Gróðrarstöðin Mörk

Reykjavík City and Gróðrarstöðin Mörk signed an agreement today that partially secures the nursery's continued operation at Stjörnugróf 18. 

Mayor Heiða Björg Hilmisdóttir and Gróðrarstöðin Mörk owners Guðmundur Vernharðsson and Sigríður Helga Sigurðardóttir signed the agreement at the owners' home in Stjörnugróf. 
 
City councilors and the Chief Executive Officer were also present alongside the owners and the mayor.

The agreement between Reykjavík City and Gróðrarstöðin Mörk extends the company's land-use rights through 2050, though the nursery must return portions of the site in two stages: first at the end of this year, and again in 2032. 
 
Following these transfers, Gróðrarstöðin Mörk will retain roughly half the site through 2050, ensuring its continued operation.
