Culture Night 2025 takes place on August 23rd, and event registration is still open.
First held in 1996, Culture Night has grown over the years. Culture Night is now Reykjavík's largest annual city festival. The festival marks the highlight of summer, with entertainment bringing the city center to life from morning to evening.
Community-powered festival
The festival is for all city residents and guests who want to join the celebration and have fun. Many families and groups of friends now have a tradition of meeting up on Culture Night to enjoy a fun-filled day together. Culture Night is a community-powered festival, inviting everyone to contribute and celebrate. The festival area covers the city center to Langahlíð in the east, Hagatorg in the west, and stretches out to Grandi.
Registration is open through Aug. 8, 2025.
