Úlfur Eldjárn and Julie Trouvé selected for music collaboration between Reykjavík and Nantes

Musicians Úlfur Eldjárn and Julie Trouvé have been chosen to take part in a music exchange residency between the cities of Nantes, France and Reykjavík.
The project aims to connect the two cities and their music communities while promoting sustainable collaboration through the power of music and creativity. The residency gives musicians the chance to create music in fully equipped recording studios and rehearsal spaces in both cities. The residency also offers a unique opportunity for artists to connect with the music scene in each country, other artists and parties in the music industry.
The exchange residency is a collaborative project of Music City Reykjavík, Nantes, Iceland Music, hafnar.haus, STEF and the arts collective Trempo in Nantes, the French Embassy in Iceland, Alliance Française de Reykjavik and ARDIAN.

Úlfur Eldjárn is an Icelandic composer and electronic musician who works at the boundary between contemporary and electronic music. Úlfur works on diverse and experimental projects where he uses different media and technology to create unconventional experiences for listeners. He also composes music for films and television while serving as a member of the legendary Icelandic electronic rock band Apparat Organ Quartet.

Julie Trouvé is a French musician who goes by the artist name Roukie. Her music merges emotional pop with the world of video games through synths, poetic lyrics and dreamlike sounds.
In connection with the exchange residency, both will perform concerts in Reykjavík later this year. We offer them our heartfelt congratulations.
