Swap stop closes for winter
The swap stop in Laugardalur is now closing for the winter and will reopen next summer.
Reykjavík City launched the swap stop this summer as a venue for residents to exchange useful items.
The project has been extremely successful since opening, with many items finding new life in different homes. The swap stop aims to promote the circular economy by demonstrating how simple solutions can reduce waste and increase reuse.
Until the Swap Stop reopens next summer, we encourage residents to continue exchanging items using other options, such as Free Shop í Gerðubergi and Góði hirðirinn.
